The Leaders Playbook: We never really know what people are going through

The week before Christmas a former teammate of mine, a Husband, Father, an incredibly successful military officer and leader, made a decision to take his own life. He left behind a wife and four children of various ages and more questions than answers. It’s been a tough holiday season for so many who simply don’t understand how he could make such a decision.

It reminded me that we never really know what people are going through. No matter how well we might think we know someone, we don’t.

Let this knowledge shape how we walk through our daily lives and how we approach our interactions with others.

B, I hope you rest in eternal peace.
